The Department of Mathematics at Columbia University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin July 1, 2018. The search is open with respect to the area of specialization, but candidates in the fields of algebraic geometry, number theory, and topology are particularly encouraged to apply. All candidates should have an outstanding record in research and be committed to excellence in teaching. Duties include research, service, and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Women and underrepresented minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must submit a cover letter, teaching and research statements, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and at least three letters of recommendation (one of which must address teaching) via MathJobs.
