Position Description:    

Misericordia University invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 15, 2018. The successful candidate will be teaching a wide variety of undergraduate Statistics courses. Preference will be given to applicants who can also teach courses in Computer Science. The normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Faculty duties in addition to teaching include active and successful scholarship, as well as service to the department, the university, and the community.

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and who will have a Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field at the time of appointment.

Misericordia University, founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Mercy, is located adjacent to the Pocono Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 2-3 hours from New York City and Philadelphia.
