The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Yale University is seeking applicants for a full-time teaching faculty position at the rank of Lecturer for an initial term of one year with the possibility of extension and eventual conversion to a longer term position. We are looking for a candidate with strong teaching skills, a passion for teaching, and experience or interest in innovative pedagogy. The successful candidate will contribute creatively to the teaching and further development of our growing data science programs, particularly those courses and experiences oriented toward computation, data analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to courses for data science majors, this position will be involved in the teaching of courses in statistics and data science for students of diverse backgrounds and interests throughout the university. The teaching load will be two classes per semester.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field and teaching experience. Demonstrated skills in teaching, data analysis, and computing are desirable, and active involvement in the discipline of data science through activities such as research or consulting are encouraged.
