Position Description:    

Wilkes University invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning in Fall 2018. A doctorate in mathematics is required by August 1, 2018. It is expected that qualified applicants will be willing to teach both major and service courses, as well as possibly teaching master’s level mathematics courses. While we encourage applications from all qualified individuals, those with expertise in algebra or number theory will be given priority. Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

The Wilkes University Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is housed under the College of Science and Engineering, and candidates with an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration within the college and university are especially encouraged to apply. The department is also planning to design mathematics outreach programs in coordination with the Wilkes University Department of Education.
