Position Description:    

Ripon College, a Phi Beta Kappa undergraduate liberal arts college committed to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for the Mark & Janice Franzen Professorship in Applied Mathematics. This tenure-track appointment may be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, and begins in August 2019. The position comes with access to dedicated professional development funds.

The successful candidate must be able to teach undergraduate statistics courses at all levels as well as applied mathematics courses. Ph.D. in Statistics or Applied Mathematics is preferred; Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field will be considered; ABDs may be considered. All Ripon College faculty advise students, provide service to the college, and contribute to Catalyst, our distinctive core curriculum. The expected teaching load is 6 courses per year or equivalent. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching of courses, student mentoring, and service.
