Position Description:    

Positions Available: One or more Lecturers, beginning in Fall 2019

Overview and Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics of the University of Maryland, College Park, has undergraduate and graduate programs in mathematics, statistics, and applied mathematics. With an ever-increasing interest by students in taking more statistics and mathematics courses and around 80 faculty members (professorial plus lecturers), the Department is seeking additional Lecturers, whose responsibilities would center around teaching undergraduate statistics and mathematics. A full load will involve teaching 3 classes and one additional duty per semester. Additional teaching in the summer session might be possible.

Salaries: Salaries depend on the highest mathematics degree of the candidate (i.e., bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD). Preference will be for those candidates whose highest mathematics degree is an M.S. or PhD.
