St. Norbert College, located in northeastern Wisconsin, welcomes applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics beginning in August, 2019. Applicants should hold a doctorate in mathematics at the time of the appointment; all areas of specialization in mathematics will be considered. Successful applicants will have a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and a demonstrated ability to pursue an active research agenda in mathematics. Candidates without experience in a tenure-track faculty position are encouraged to apply to our other tenure-track posting (see Responsibilities include teaching, academic advising, scholarly activity, and collegial service. The teaching load is three four-credit undergraduate courses each semester (typically nine 60-minute classes per week). The salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.

The St. Norbert College Mathematics Department ( prides itself on excellent teaching and collaborative student-faculty research. Mathematics students participate in an endowment-funded summer research fellowship specifically for math majors and minors, and annually give presentations at regional and national meetings. The successful candidate would be expected to continue a program of scholarly research and would be expected to mentor undergraduate research projects.
