The University of Portland’s Department of Mathematics invites applications for a renewable appointment at the rank of instructor, to begin in August of 2019. The salary is $46,125 for a 9 month contract and benefits. We will begin reviewing applications on November 15, 2018, and continue until the position is filled. 

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include teaching lower-level calculus courses and introductory statistics (load is 12 credits per term), as well as working with our calculus coordinator and statistics coordinator. 

Requirements: Minimum requirement: master's degree in statistics or mathematics or a related field and experience teaching statistics and/or calculus at the undergraduate level.  

The University is seeking applicants who can demonstrate excellence in teaching and a record of working effectively with students. A commitment to the mission of the University is expected.
