PIMS Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of Calgary 

The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) at the University of Calgary invites applications for candidates to be considered for PIMS-sponsored postdoctoral fellowships for the year 2019-2020. 

Subject to budgetary restrictions and satisfactory performance, these positions are renewable for a second year. In order to be nominated for PIMS postdoctoral fellowships, it is necessary for the applicant to be sponsored by a faculty member from the Faculty of Science. Research areas for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics may be found here: https://math.ucalgary.ca/research/research_areas. These fellowships will support research which furthers all areas of mathematics and applied mathematics.


Candidates must be able to complete their PhD program by July 31st, 2019.

 • Research Statement 
• Teaching Statement 
 • Three letters of recommendation

Appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow typically requires a PhD obtained in 2016 or later. Earlier PhDs will be considered where the research career has been interrupted by circumstances such as parental responsibilities or illness. Positions are open to individuals of any nationality. 

Applications must be received no later than November 12, 2018
