Assistant Professor of Mathematics (tenure track) St. Thomas Aquinas College seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning in September 2019. Situated in the School of Arts and Sciences, the Math program offers advanced courses for our Math majors, as well as for students in Teacher Education, the Sciences, and the School of Business; in addition, Math faculty teach introductory courses in our General Education Program.

Successful candidates will be expected to teach a range of courses, from Freshman Algebra to upper level courses such as Life Contingencies, Complex Analysis, Real Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Geometry, and the Mathematics of Finance. Experience with Actuarial Mathematics is highly desirable. Other expectations include advising, college service, and a commitment to research. The College prides itself on the high quality of the teaching of its faculty as well as on their scholarly contributions to their discipline, and so a successful candidate should address both areas in their application.

Qualifications: College teaching experience and a PhD in Mathematics are required; however, an advanced ABD will be considered with evidence of dissertation status.
