The Department of Mathematics at DigiPen Institute of Technology invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in Mathematics, starting in Fall, 2019. Responsibilities include teaching, research within the area of expertise, advising student research and projects, as well as professional service activities. Research in the broadly defined area of Data Science is preferred, however the position is open to any area of Mathematics.

DigiPen Institute of Technology is a Redmond, WA based college, offering undergraduate and Master degrees in Computer Science, using a unique hands-on, project-based curriculum, designed to reinforce core academic and foundational coursework in the areas of computer engineering, software development, sound design, production animation, and game design. The Mathematics curriculum at DigiPen is central in laying strong academic foundations, applied throughout a Computer Science curriculum. DigiPen Institute of Technology is a leader in the area of Game Design. Princeton review routinely ranks DigiPen among top 5 undergraduate and top 10 graduate institutions worldwide for Game Design.

Minimum qualifications: PhD Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field; Excellence in Teaching ; Strong Research Program; Interest in advising student projects and graduate research;

Preferred Qualifications: Research area in Data Science; Previous teaching experience; Previous academic or non-academic experience in Data Science; Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary environment.
