Fellowship Description:    

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship in probability and statistics at the Department of Mathematics and/or statistics at the University of British Columbia. The fellowship is being supported by the PIMS Probability Training Centre in Stochastics (PTCS) and is offered jointly by the Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute (CANSSI) and the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS).

Positions are for two years (subject to review each year), normally starting no later than September 1, 2019. Applicants should have recently obtained (2016 or later), or expect to receive prior to the start of the position, a PhD in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related discipline. Applicants should demonstrate excellent potential in research and teaching in probability or statistics, with the ideal applicant having expertise in both fields. Salary and specific working conditions such as teaching load (if any) depend on the particular site. Positions are open to individuals of any nationality.
