The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in applied partial differential equations or a closely related field. The appointment is expected to begin in Fall 2019.

The responsibilities of the position are to pursue research and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Postdoctoral training • Undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching experience • An interest in interdisciplinary research

With about 38,000 students, UNT is the largest university in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the 33rd largest in the nation. We offer 101 bachelor’s degrees, 82 master's degrees, and 38 doctoral degrees. UNT is a public research university and is the flagship of the UNT System.
