The Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University invites applications for Research Associate (Postdoc) with a starting date of fall 2019. This is an academic year, benefits eligible position that is potentially renewable on an annual basis through Spring 2022 contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Candidates will be evaluated on their potential in research and teaching. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Mathematics by August 10, 2019. Applications from all areas of mathematical research will be considered. Research Associates (Postdocs) will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests and will engage in our active instructional mentoring program. Applicants should submit a vita, statements on research and on teaching, and should arrange for at least 4 letters of recommendation to be submitted, one of which must specifically address the applicant's teaching experiences. Required Degree Doctorate -Mathematical Research Minimum Requirements • Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Mathematics by August 10, 2019. • Applications from all areas of mathematical research will be considered.
