The Computer Science Department at Boston College seeks instructors for mathematics-based lower-division courses in our undergraduate program, principally courses in discrete mathematics and probability theory. In addition to a solid mathematics background, preferably at the level of Ph.D. or ABD, candidates should be proficient in a high-level programming language. Minimum requirements for the title of Visiting Assistant Professor include a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, or closely related discipline. Candidates who have only attained a Master's degree would be eligible for the title of Visiting Lecturer. The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
