The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University-Newark invites applications for a full time (calendar year), renewable non-tenure track position at the rank of Teaching Instructor/Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor to begin in the 2019-2020 academic year, beginning September 1, 2019. The successful candidate will have several years of experience teaching Mathematics at the college level, outstanding teaching skills, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching through advancing and supporting initiatives that deepen pedagogical knowledge and sustain motivated learning in all students. In addition to teaching, the position will have coordination responsibilities for Math support, including, but not limited to, facilitating programs for students seeking academic support and generating recommendations for increasing the quality and effectiveness of the support services offered. Rutgers non-tenure track positions have competitive salary and benefits. Review of applications will begin May 13, 2019 and continue until the position is filled.

Minimal Education and Experience: M.A., M.S., Ed.D., or Ph.D in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. Experience teaching Mathematics to a diverse undergraduate population and facilitating/providing learning support services is strongly preferred.
