At the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics the following professorship has to be filled as soon as possible:


W2-Professorship Calculus of Variations

The applicant should have an outstanding track record in a current field of analysis, in particular calculus of variations or nonlinear partial differential equations. Active collaboration with existing research groups at the Institute of Mathematics and the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences is expected. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding is desirable. The successful applicant will be involved in teaching analysis at all levels.

Rights and obligations of the jobholder are within the Saxonian university law (Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetz, SächsHSFG) and the Saxonian public service task regulation (Sächsische Dienstaufgabenverordnung, DAVOHS). Applicants must meet the requirements of §58 SächsHSFG.
