Lecturer in Stochastics Grade 7/8

£34,188 - £51,630 pa (or pro rata)

In the area of Stochastic Mathematics, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer initially for 3 years with the possibility to become permanent after competitive evaluation after 2+1 years. The post is in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, which is part of the School of Physical Sciences at the University of Liverpool.

You should have a PhD in Mathematics and will have an excellent track record in the areas of Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, Stochastic Analysis or a related field including frequent publications in internationally recognised Q1 journals, be proficient in teaching both small and large groups, and have experience of student supervision and curriculum development and the ability to attract external research funding. We encourage applications in any field of Stochastic Mathematics. You will play a part in the development of the department through extending existing research networks within the University, building new networks nationally and internationally.
