The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track position starting at the rank of Assistant professor level in Mathematics starting Fall 2020. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field is required.

Duties will include teaching three one-semester courses per year, conducting and maintaining a strong research program, writing for publication, advising students, participating in department governance, and university service. Competitive applicants will have a distinguished research record. Applicants in all areas of mathematics will be considered, and researchers working in harmonic analysis, operator theory, function theory, partial differential equations, or complex analysis are especially encouraged to apply.
