The Department of Mathematics in the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, anticipates the appointment of two faculty positions, effective August 2020, at the junior (tenure-track assistant professor) level. Salary will be competitive.

Strong candidates working in computational and applied mathematics, applied probability and stochastic processes will be considered. Applicants should have excellent research accomplishments and potential, a Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching. Post-doctoral experience is expected, although not absolutely required. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is 3 semester courses per academic year.
