Appointments will be based on exceptional research contributions in Mathematics combined with a strong commitment and demonstrated success in teaching.

The Department seeks to build excellence in core areas of strength including Algebraic Geometry, Representation Theory, Analysis, Topology, and Combinatorics. Outstanding candidates in these or synergetic areas are encouraged to apply and will be seriously considered.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the start date, strong record of research, and demonstrated evidence of excellent teaching ability. Qualified candidates should be committed to fostering diverse and inclusive environments as well as to promoting experiential learning, which are central to a Northeastern University education.

Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students and conducting an independent research program.
