Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis has an opening for a full-time Lecturer in Mathematics beginning August 2020. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who will play a key role in all aspects of the department's undergraduate mission. Experience coordinating large multi-section courses is desirable, as is the ability and willingness to engage in modern, evidence-based pedagogy.

Responsibilities include teaching 3 courses per semester, coordinating large multi-section courses (including exams, homework, supervising graduate assistants, etc.), and other departmental service. A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required. The position is non-tenure track and subject to the College of Arts & Sciences Policy on Full-Time Teaching-Track Faculty (https://artsci.wustl.edu/sites/artsci.wustl.edu/files/fulltime%20teaching%20track%20policy%202018-01.pdf), which governs timelines and procedures for renewal of the position, as well as promotion to Senior Lecturer and Teaching Professor.
