Position Description:    

The Johns Hopkins University’s Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics seeks applicants for a lecturer position commencing July 1, 2020, on the Homewood campus.

The selected individual will be expected to participate in the undergraduate and master’s programs in Applied Mathematics and Statistics by teaching classes in probability and statistics, optimization, discrete mathematics or numerical analysis, and by advising students enrolled in the programs. Successful candidates must have a strong academic background, with a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics and are expected to have a strong commitment to, and excellent credentials in, teaching mathematics or statistics. The teaching load for lecturer positions is three courses per semester over a two-semester academic year.
