Position Description:    

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for two nine-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Mathematics faculty positions in the Department of Mathematics which begin August 2020.

A major responsibility of each position is to serve as a departmental coordinator for College Algebra (one position) or Precalculus (one position) at the University. Coordinator responsibilities include taking a leadership role in curricular, instructional, and assessment decisions related to the course and serving as a support to both full time and part time faculty members. Therefore, candidates for these positions must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success and have experience teaching introductory level mathematics courses. The ideal candidate will have experience with, or demonstrate strong potential for, working collaboratively with teaching faculty in service to a diverse student body. Additional responsibilities include teaching the coordinated course on a regular basis, teaching regular courses in the undergraduate mathematics curriculum, and engaging in service to the Department, University, and the mathematical community.

The minimum qualification is an earned doctorate in mathematics or a related field from an accredited institution or its foreign equivalent by August 1, 2020. The ideal candidate will have experience, or will demonstrate the potential for, working collaboratively with faculty and mentoring students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds. Candidates with leadership experiences are encouraged to apply.
