YALE UNIVERSITY Position in Mathematics Instruction

The Department of Mathematics at Yale seeks one or more individuals with demonstrated expertise in college mathematics teaching to be appointed at the non-ladder rank of Lecturer. Salary commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will have a 2-2 teaching load, primarily focused on introductory courses through multivariable calculus. The position will typically include working with faculty and graduate student instructors to develop their teaching, directing multi-section courses, working on curriculum development, and performing administrative tasks related to teaching.

The position is for three years. In rare cases, it may carry the possibility of renewal.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in mathematics; interest and skill in teaching introductory mathematics courses. We welcome additional experience relevant to the duties listed above.

Teaching portfolio that includes at least one complete set of recent teaching evaluations from an introductory course, as well as other evidence of teaching engagement and creativity.
