The Chair of Algebraic Geometry at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) invites applications for post-doctoral position(s) to be starting in the Fall of 2020, including position(s) supported by the ERC Starting grant "Moduli space of stable varieties and applications". The review of the applications will start on Jan 1 2020, but applications are welcomed also after this deadline. In exceptional cases, an earlier starting date in the Spring of 2020 is possible, for which a request e-mail should be sent to the contact information below. The application should contain a CV (uploaded here on mathjobs.org, including publications), and at least 3 references. For the latter, the applicant may choose either to give names and e-mail addresses at the end of the CV, in which case the references are being contacted only if necessary. Or, the applicant may attach the recommendation letters here at mathjobs.org as usually. No advantage will be given during the evaluation process for using first or the second method, although applicants that already have letters uploaded on mathjobs.org are encouraged to attach the letters with the application to speed up the evaluation process. Applicants are expected to conduct research in algebraic geometry, or in a topic in another field very closely related to the interests of the Chair of Algebraic Geometry.
