The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science seeks to fill the following professorship from 1 April 2020:

W2 Professorship in Probability Theory

The candidate should have an internationally outstanding research profile in probability theory and related fields. An openness to collaboration with existing research groups at the Mathematical Institute and the Max-Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences is expected. The candidate should ideally have experience in acquiring external funding. The successful applicant will be involved in teaching probability theory across our study programmes.

Rights and obligations of the jobholder are within the Saxonian university law (Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetz, SächsHSFG) and the Saxonian public service task regulation (Sächsische Dienstaufgabenverordnung, DAVOHS). Applicants must meet the requirements of §58 SächsHSFG.
