Saint Martin’s University, a private Catholic, Benedictine university located in Western Washington invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in mathematics at the assistant professor level to begin August 2020. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics is required and teaching experience is highly desirable. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and the ability to teach courses across all levels of an undergraduate mathematics curriculum. Teaching load will average 24 semester credit hours per year. The successful candidate will be expected to advise students and perform departmental and university-wide service as well as participate in ongoing curriculum development. Further, the candidate must demonstrate an interest in mentoring undergraduate research projects with students. The following areas of specialization are preferred: probability and statistics, differential equations, mathematical modeling, applied mathematics.

Faculty members are expected to support the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts mission of the university. Candidates must have valid documentation permitting them to work in the US from the date on which the appointment at Saint Martin’s takes effect. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.
