The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Wright State University invites applications for a faculty position in statistics at the rank of Instructor or Lecturer. The department is engaged in several innovative projects in curriculum design and delivery including co-requisite remediation in the first-year courses. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching experience and interest relevant to these initiatives. The successful candidate will be a part of the statistics group in the department and in addition to teaching courses will have the responsibility of coordinating the multi-section introductory statistics service course and working with the Director of Developmental Mathematics to monitor the effectiveness of the curriculum and delivery of content in the attached co-requisite remediation course for the sequence. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. 

Required Qualifications: 
For appointment at the Instructor level: 
- A master's degree in statistics or a related field (anticipated completion of all requirements by start date). 
- At least one year of teaching introductory statistics courses at the university level, or equivalent. 

For appointment at the Lecturer level: 
- A PhD in statistics or related area (anticipated completion of all requirements by start date). 
- At least three years of teaching at the university level, or equivalent, with documented teaching of introductory statistics courses. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
For both ranks preference will be give to candidates with: 
- Documented experience in implementing evidence-based teaching practices. 
- Documented experience in designing or delivering on-line courses. 
- Experience with active learning methods of instruction.
