Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) develops educational opportunities for many of the most eager math students in the world. We have trained tens of thousands of the country’s top students over the last 16 years through our online school, and our international online community of advanced problem solvers has over 500,000 members.

At AoPS, we believe that students learn best by working through challenging problems that present students with opportunities to develop problem-solving and critical reasoning skills through productive struggle and creative thinking. Our goal is for students to build a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics through grappling with why mathematics works.

We seek curriculum developers to help us shape innovative and engaging mathematical learning opportunities for motivated students in elementary, middle, or high school. We are particularly focused and excited about expanding our Beast Academy Curriculum for our elementary and lower middle school students.

We are looking for candidates to help us advance our Beast Academy Curriculum by:
  • Creating lessons and puzzles for our Beast Academy Practice books and Beast Academy Online.
  • Developing a more curated Beast Academy Online experience.
  • Creating content so we can launch new features in Beast Academy Online. Some upcoming projects include building "The Gym" (a math drill center) and a hint system.
Other recent projects our curriculum team as worked on include:
  • Building dynamic lesson plans for our AoPS Academy in-person classes.
  • Developing interactive lessons for our online Prealgebra 1 course.
  • Expanding our online learning system Alcumus to cover material from our Intermediate Algebra textbook and online course.
You might be a good fit for this position if...
  • You’ve built a passion for math through teaching or doing mathematics, and are eager to share this with motivated elementary, middle, or high school students.
  • You’re excited about helping students grapple with and enrich their understanding of mathematical ideas through creating cognitively demanding math tasks.
  • You’ve participated in or helped out with a math classroom, math team, math camp, math festival, or math circle, and enjoyed your experience there.
  • You believe that guiding students to become mathematical thinkers today can help train them to be the world’s problem-solvers tomorrow.
  •  You want to grow in your position and potentially take on a future leadership role.
