The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in applied mathematics, PDEs, numerical analysis, dynamical systems, discrete math, or closely related field to begin fall 2021. Teaching responsibilities will include 5 courses over two semesters (3/2 teaching load), including both introductory and higher-level mathematics courses for undergraduates, and the Common Intellectual Experience, a first-year interdisciplinary seminar. Ability to teach numerical analysis, introductory statistics, or computer science is a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program, as well as show a commitment to fostering undergraduate research. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely-related field is strongly preferred; ABD with anticipated completion in Fall 2021 will be considered.
