The Department of Applied Mathematics at Ecole Polytechnique invites applicants for a Professor position in the fields of Probability and Financial Mathematics. An academic orientation towards probabilistic numerical methods will be appreciated.
The successful applicant is expected to conduct a research in these fields, with first class international recognition, to have excellent teaching skills at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, to develop a team of young researchers, and to participate to the scientific activities of the finance chairs.
This is an open call. Review of applications will start on April 1st, 2010. However, if the number or quality of the applicants is not high enough, the position will still be considered as open and new applications, directly submitted to the Applied Mathematics Department, will be welcome until the hiring is officially closed on the web site of the Department.
