| Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics –
Lyon College seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor in Mathematics beginning Fall Semester 2011. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics; candidates who are ABD will be given serious consideration. The primary requirement is excellence in teaching, but research potential is also important. Successful applicants will be able to teach a broad range of undergraduate mathematics classes. Prior experience in a liberal arts college is desirable. Additional responsibilities will include advising students and participating in college governance and service. Lyon College is an independent, selective, residential liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and is included among the country’s best liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report. Located in the Ozark foothill community of Batesville, the picturesque campus is 90 miles north of Little Rock and 125 miles west of Memphis.
