The Bateman Research Instructorships in Mathematics are offered to recent Ph.D. recipients who show strong research promise. In the past Instructors have been expected to teach one course for the full academic year and to devote the rest of their time to research. Appointments are for one year and are renewable for one additional year. The academic year runs from approximately October 1 to June 1. During the summer months, there are no duties except research. Because of conditions of the funding source, some of the positions may be restricted based on citizenship. Applicants for the Senior Research Fellowship will automatically be considered for Olga Taussky-John Todd Instructorships and Bateman Instructorships and NEED NOT REAPPLY. |
