| The Mathematics and Statistics Department of Hollins University invites applications for an anticipated, one-year, leave-replacement visiting instructor position to begin July 1, 2012. A Ph.D. in mathematics is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment. Experience in teaching single-variable calculus (with Maple) and/or pre-calculus strongly preferred. Responsibilities include teaching a full course load (six courses per year) and participating in the department’s collaborative senior seminar experience. Position is considered full-time, and is eligible for benefits.
