| An opening for a joint Postdoctoral Fellow is available in the Department of Mathematics, California State University at Northridge (CSUN) and the Dept. of
Biomathematics, UCLA. The position will be funded by CSUN with a visiting fellow position at UCLA.
Additional support from UCLA will be possible. We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to work in developing analytical
models and computational tools in the general field of non-equilibrium statistical physics with applications to social sciences with
additional opportunities to explore a wide variety of topics in the quantitative biosciences. The position requires US Citizenship or permanent residence,
but exceptional foreign candidates will be considered. The position starts immediately.
The duration of the position will be initially one year, with the possibility of extension for a second year, depending on satisfactory progress.
A possible third year may be available depending on funding. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in theoretical physics, applied
mathematics, or related discipline, and have strong analytical skills, programming experience, and fluency in Matlab, Mathematica and
