|Applications are invited for a Visiting Research Professor in Mathematics. Candidates should have completed a doctorate as of August 1, 2017 and show definite promise in research and teaching. The teaching load will typically be one course each semester, so that the appointee will have ample time for research. The exact load will depend on the candidates background and conditions at the time of employment.
The appointment is for two years and may be renewed for a third year, beginning on August 1st, 2017, or later. Duke University seeks to build a diverse faculty: women and under-represented minorities are encouraged to apply.
Candidates interested in working with Prof. Jonathan Mattingly or with a background in stochastic dynamical systems, PDEs, SPDEs, stochastic analysis, statistical mechanics, random algorithms and analysis of statistical and sampling methods are particularly encouraged to apply.
