Do you want a flexible job that allows you to share your love of math with younger students? Our graders provide feedback on homework problems to aspiring mathematicians. The grader position is perfect for those who need or want flexibility in their work but still want to have a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Want a more active role? Teaching assistants answer questions and encourage students during live class sessions. Both roles are vital to the success of our students and contribute to their growing love of math.
Our grader/assistant pool includes college students, stay-at-home parents, retired professors, graduate students, high school teachers, business analysts, chemists, and many others who just love math! Our courses range from Prealgebra up through Calculus, and we also have courses in discrete math and computer programming (Python). If you have enthusiasm for math of any level, there is a course for you to help out in!
If you want to make a more substantial contribution and can regularly commit to 15+ hours of work per week, you can apply to be a long term grader. Our long term graders are assigned to 3-5 classes at a time and grade for the entirety of that class. Each class lasts between 12 and 22 weeks and consists of 4-8 hours of grading per week. Since our classes run year-round and grading can be done at any time of day, this position is perfect for those who want day-to-day flexibility but consistent weekly work. Because you'll be working with the same students throughout an entire course, you'll see the direct impact of your feedback as your students grow and develop as mathematicians.
This is an online position that can be done from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
All grader applicants should fill out our online application at: http://artofproblemsolving.com/applications. If you wish to be a long term grader, once you have completed the regular grader application, please also send an e-mail expressing your interest in the long term grader position to email@example.com.
