|The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Binghamton University (State University of New York) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor, beginning Fall 2017, in the broad areas of Algebra and Number Theory (including Algebraic Geometry). All candidates with outstanding qualifications in these areas will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants who can complement the existing strengths of the department.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of research accomplishments, strong research potential, and a commitment to teaching. The minimal qualification for this position is a doctoral degree (PhD or the equivalent) in the mathematical sciences.
