The Department of Mathematics invites applications for two anticipated tenure-track positions beginning on or about September 1, 2017. Appointments are at the assistant or associate professor level, depending upon qualifications. Both positions require strong undergraduate teaching skills and a demonstrated commitment to research. PhD in mathematics or a related area is required.

The department offers undergraduate majors in mathematics, actuarial science, and in financial mathematics. At the graduate level we offer an MS degree in financial engineering. Applicants should have research interest in areas which will support these programs.

Baruch is one of the City University of New York’s senior colleges, housing the Zicklin School of Business, the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Public and International Affairs. It has approximately 17,500 undergraduate and graduate students in its three schools, and is an AA/EO/IRCA/ADA employer.
