Augusta University is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in applied mathematics to begin in August 2017. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics and candidates specializing in any area of applied mathematics, including discrete applied mathematics, are invited to apply. This position requires a program of scholarly activity and a commitment to outstanding teaching with a typical teaching load of approximately 15 credit hours per academic year. Successful candidates should have a research program which will allow them to pursue external funding, and candidates whose research program lends itself to interdisciplinary collaborations, particularly with the biomedical and health science disciplines, are highly desirable.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates for a position at the rank of associate professor should have a nationally recognized research presence, and candidates for a position at the rank of full professor should be internationally recognized in their field, and should have a record of successful external funding.Minimum Requirements:
