The Department of Mathematics at NC State University is inviting applications for one postdoctoral position. Applicants must have a PhD in mathematics or a closely related field. The selected candidate of this postdoctoral position will conduct research on nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Michael Shearer in the NCSU Mathematics Department, with the possibility of participating in the 2020 Dispersive Hydrodynamics program at the Isaac Newton Institute, University of Cambridge. This position includes teaching at least one course per year of the appointment, with the possibility of teaching more courses based on availability. The positions anticipated start date is January 2020. The position is for an initial term of one year, with the potential for renewal of a second year. |
