Position Summary 
The Fort Lewis College Mathematics Department is looking to hire a permanent math lecturer position to teach 24 credit hours per academic year (6 – 8 courses per year), course assignments include College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Science Field.
Minimum of 18 credits of mathematics courses at the graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching College Algebra, Precalculus, Statistics
Experience teaching underrepresented populations.

Major Responsibilities
Teach 24 credit hours per academic year (6 – 8 courses per year), course assignments include College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics depending on experience.  Teaching includes preparing class and evaluation materials, delivering lectures, grading, and being available for student questions.
Work in drop-in tutor room.
Collaborate with other instructors teaching common courses.
Aid with development of course materials.
Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary is $40,000   plus a comprehensive benefits package. The anticipated start date is mid-August 2020.
