Fellowship Description:    

The Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Mathematics. This is a two-year position that may be renewed for an additional year by mutual consent of IMPA and the position holder. The position offers an after-tax monthly stipend of BRL 10,000.00.

The position is open to all fields of Mathematics, both Pure and Applied. The selected fellow will have the freedom to pursue his own research agenda and is expected to teach at least one graduate course per year. Interaction with students and researchers of the institute will be encouraged.

The deadline for applications is November 6, 2020. The results will be announced in December 2020.
