Boston College Department of Mathematics One-semester Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Mathematics at Boston College is looking for qualified applicants for a one-semester position (Fall 2020) as a Visiting Assistant Professor.  The primary job responsibility is teaching sections of Calculus I, in a remote online format as part of a coordinated course.  Applicants must be available to teach remotely in the slots Monday and Friday 11, 12, 2 (ET). (One more slot may be needed depending on scheduling.)

In addition, we encourage participation in the life of the department, including seminars on research and teaching. Preference given to applicants with research interests in Geometry/Topology. Salary is competitive. 

Applications must include a curriculum vitae with teaching experience and two or more letters of recommendation, at least one which addresses the applicant’s teaching. Please submit all application materials through MathJobs.org.
