Position Description:    

We invite applications for up to two Postdoctoral Research Associates in Analytic Number Theory to work with Professor James Maynard. The positions are full time, fixed-term for three years, and the post-holders will be based at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.

The successful candidates will be members of the Number Theory research group at Oxford, and work on research projects in analytic number theory. They will contribute ideas for new research projects, write up their results for publication and represent the research group at meetings, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.

Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline, and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes. They will be able to manage their own academic research and associated activities and have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
