Boston College Department of Mathematics Full-time, Non-Tenure-Track Position The Mathematics Department at Boston College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of the Practice of Mathematics. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position with a three-year renewable contract, to begin in the 2021 fall semester. The teaching load is 6 semester courses per year. Our priority is to hire an outstanding teacher, qualified to teach courses at both the lower-division and upper-division levels. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach courses in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. Requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, and demonstrated excellence in teaching mathematics. A completed application should contain a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a teaching statement which includes a description of specific ways in which the candidate could enhance our undergraduate program, and at least four letters of recommendation.
