The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at The College of Wooster invites applications for a two-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2021. The department has twelve full-time faculty and offers majors in Statistical & Data Sciences (SDS), Mathematics, and Computer Science, graduating 40-70 seniors annually. We emphasize mentored undergraduate research and experiential learning, with every student completing a year-long senior thesis project and many participating in our unique Applied Methods & Research Experience program. The successful candidate will teach five courses annually, including introductory courses in SDS and other courses in math and/or SDS, along with directing senior capstone thesis projects. A Ph.D. in a related field is required. We are especially interested in hiring faculty who can contribute to the intellectual vibrancy and diversity of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service.
