The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track position starting at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin Fall 2021, with emphasis on applied mathematics, computational mathematics, and related areas. A Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field is required.

Duties will include teaching three one-semester courses per year, conducting and maintaining a strong research program, writing for publication, advising students, and participating in department governance and university service. Competitive applicants will have a distinguished research record. Application materials should include a CV, list of publications, research statement, teaching statement, and four or more letters of recommendation with one addressing teaching credentials. Applicants may optionally include copies of past teaching evaluations along with their teaching statement.
