Description: The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for one tenure-track position at the assistant professor level starting in July 2021.

Faculty Responsibilities:
The faculty member will teach undergraduate math courses in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as have the opportunity to teach in Saint Mary's January Term and Collegiate Seminar programs. The typical teaching load is six courses per year. Saint Mary's faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda and demonstrate intellectual growth and significant achievement appropriate to their field. Faculty also contribute to the mission and serve the College and community in many ways, including academic advising, student and community outreach, and participation in departmental and College-wide committees.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics by July 1, 2021 and a strong record or potential in both teaching and research. Applicants in all areas of mathematics will be considered. A demonstrated ability to teach computer science will be considered a plus.
